I recently learned that until snow hardens, it absorbs sound. That's why those snowy winter nights seem so calm and tranquil. I also learned to think of walking on snow like walking on clouds. I can't remember a time when winter wasn't just to bear and survive, yet I have the photographic evidence of conquering the snow banks in Newfoundland, grinning in triumph. It's funny what time does to the things you used to love. Nowadays, I'd rather cozy up under some blankets than scale Mount Parking-Lot-Snowbank. But for those lovely winter walks (on clouds), I love pulling out this coat I picked up in Seoul. For this look, I added a pop of colour with a cozy red sweater (also from Seoul) and some of my favourite winter classics. I feel as light as air.
