Oh autumn, with the beautiful colours and the fashionable layering, who could resist? I'm a summer girl myself, but this year autumn has begun to sway me. I'm starting to appreciate the beauty of the autumn sun and the magic of a pumpkin spice latte. But most of all, I love the fashion! So many coats to choose from, so many hats to grace our heads, the endless array of patterned nylons, the outfits seem endless. Ok who else is excited?!

I'm An Old Fuddy-Duddy At Heart

One of my standard winter uniforms consistent of this black/grey ensemble that kind of reminds me of something a stylish granny would wear. It sort of envelopes you in warmth. There's just something about the asymmetrical cardigan that I love! I suppose it's because it just floats around you like a pretty dress...

To liven up the outfit, I added a statement necklace and some geek-chic glasses. Hang in there everyone...winter has to end at some point...

Fall? What Fall?

Photos by Kyler Kelly

We are experiencing quite the Indian summer this year in Montreal. If it weren't for the slowly transforming leaves, you wouldn't even think it's already October! These golden days of "summtumn" calls for light jackets, cropped pants, and pretty florals with a twist (eg. a leather Peter Pan collar!) I also whipped out the ol' faux bob, cateye sunnies and a red pucker for a retro addition. I am lovin' this summer extension!

Westward Bound

How to carry a life in one vintage suitcase:
1) roll your clothes, don't fold (it takes up less room)
2) plain black loafers are a girl's best friend
3) bring separates (3 outfits suddenly become 9)
4) blush, eyeliner, lip balm, moisturizer and sunscreen are all you really need to put your best face forward
Of course, as soon as I boarded the plane I began pining after my favourite book The English Patient. Ridiculous of course, I've read it about 20 times already and how can a person really fit a whole life into one suitcase? A 10-day sojourn cannot contain all your heart desires. So you end up settling for 2 pairs of shoes and 1 tube of lipstick and remember...you can always shop when you get there!
Happy travels!
